The Muse of Delphi (Not)

OK, so I’m mixing metaphors … actually, mythologies.  In any case... It's been more than a month since the end of our trip to Bulgaria and Greece.  Though it was a good trip, interesting a many ways, I haven't been able to get into my "normal" mode of writing blog posts about our travels, either in real time of since our return.  I've been ruminating about why, something about the kind of traveling we did and have done for many years: visiting places, seeing things, learning about history, architecture, religions, food, wine.  The bottom line is it's become less satisfying to me, less fulfilling, and so less stimulating of my writing muse. In fact, with the advent of AI, in a way it almost seems trite to write descriptive prose about what we did and saw.  To test this point, I asked ChatGPT to write a travelogue about our itinerary.  If you're interested, you can read what it wrote here ; a pretty good overview of the trip!
